范蠡，字少伯，徐人也。事周师太公望，好服桂饮水。为越大夫，佐勾践破吴。后乘舟入海，变名姓，适齐，为鸱夷子。更后百馀年，见于陶，为陶朱君，财累亿万，号陶朱公。后弃之，兰陵卖药。后人世世识见之。
