损兑者,机危之决也。事有适然,物有成败,机危之动,不可不察。故圣人以无为待有德,言察辞,合于事。兑者,知之也;损者,行之也。损之兑之,物有不可者,圣人不为之辞。故智者不以言失人之言,故辞不烦而心不虚,志不乱而意不邪。当其难易,而后为之谋;因自然之道以为实。圆者不行,方者不止,是谓大功。益之损之,皆为之辞。用分威散势之权,以见其兑威,其机危乃为之决。故善损兑者,譬若决水于千仞之堤,转圆石于万仞之溪。而能行此者,形势不得不然也。
